Mission
Mission Statement
Mission
Mission statement
BreuerFilm is where thirty years of building emotion into someone else’s story finally builds one of our own. We develop scripts, connect a global network of proven craft, and turn ideas into films that are authentic, creative, and professional — felt before they’re explained.
Why I started BreuerFilm
I always expected sound to lead somewhere bigger than a mix.
As a kid, I didn’t dream about faders or plugins — I dreamed about worlds. A piece of music could turn a room into somewhere else entirely, and I wanted to build that feeling for the biggest canvas there is: the screen. That was the expectation.
The reality took thirty years to catch up.
It started with a Gold Record in 1994, and from there the work came — but not always the work I’d pictured as a kid. It came as sound design folded into Logic Pro and GarageBand, shipping quietly on hundreds of millions of Apple devices. It came as car and environmental sound design for Gran Turismo, one of the world’s biggest gaming franchises, and a TIGA Award for the work. It came as full emotional scores for the Alpine and BMW Vision Gran Turismo trailers — built to sell a feeling about a car that didn’t exist yet. It came as campaigns for Porsche Design, Mercedes-Benz, Adidas, Deutsche Telekom, and years of music for RTL, in every format from instore films playing quietly in a showroom to fully scripted television series.
Every one of those jobs was real craft, and I don’t discount a single one of them. But they all had one thing in common: I was hired to serve someone else’s story. Get the feeling right, deliver the files, move to the next brief.
That started to shift on the set of GREY, a psychological thriller shot in Croatia, where the conversations stopped being only about sound and started being about story — tone, character, the shape of the whole picture. For the first time in a long time, the expectation from thirty years ago and the reality of the work in front of me were talking to each other again.
BreuerFilm is what happens next. Not a new skill — the same instinct for emotional storytelling I’ve sold to brands and franchises for three decades, now aimed at films of our own: developing scripts, connecting the network of directors, producers, and craftspeople I’ve built across a career, and turning ideas into films that are authentic, creative, and professional from the first page to the final mix.
